Passing Train

I never saw the light of day
Always wondered what I had missed
And then I simply closed my eyes and said its “OK”

I worked my fingers to the bone
And then I came home all alone

I lived on the passing train
Never saw the light of day
I lived on the passing train

Then I could not resist
My life had come down this
Speckled ceilings and coffee pots
Saying all those things I’d wished I’d not
